My 15 years as an educator at Fairmont Preparatory Academy has been centered on fostering academic excellence and cultural understanding. My passion lies in nudging students to appreciate the intricacies of English literature and philosophy, driving me to develop comprehensive curriculums that resonate with a diverse student body. At Fairmont, our mission to empower future leaders aligns with my commitment to delivering an education that equips students with the ability to navigate a global landscape.My most recent role entailed designing and delivering courses for AP English Language and Composition and IB English Language: Literature HL, each tailored to challenge and inspire our students to think critically in a global context. The opportunity to work in the social sciences, teaching IB Philosophy and Global Issues was also rewarding, to broaden student perspectives about the burning questions of our day. Each year my students earned high scores on their corresponding AP and IB exams.
