This was a volunteer position through MCC in combination with the Center for Educational Exchange with Vietnam (CEEVN) to help design, administer, and teach pre-academic training programs at the Resource Center for Community Development in An Giang University in Long Xuyen, An Giang, Vietnam. CEEVN was administering Ford Foundation's International Fellowship Program, targeting the human resources of disadvantaged groups internationally by providing graduate studies abroad. Our goal was to provide the academic English training and research skills to both Vietnamese and Thai students so that they could successfully gain admission to and be successful in graduate programs abroad. I worked as both an administrator and English teacher, helping place nearly 100% of our IFP fellows in graduate programs abroad.

PMHS was a mission-based private religious school based 80% on donations to enable access to students who otherwise may not have been able to afford a private school education. I created the English curriculum in my first years of teaching here, led Advisory/Mentoring for the graduating class of 2005 for their 4 years at the school, and helped fundraise and plan annual class trips. We placed nearly 100% of our student body in college programs each year.
