I manage a team of more than 30 which is rapidly growing. We are a highly visible agency because what we does deals with child safety, so my job is to keep us out of the spotlight. Since I used to be one of their Investigators, I know how the their system, CLASS, functions. I work hard to help them improve the automation and save time and money.

I learned all about the Software Development Lifecycle and Project Manager Lifecycle (I've taken a 10 week Project Management Ptep class). I learned to use SQL to master the agencies databases because they weren't just filled with code; they were filled with stories I had documented firsthand. I co-led the project which wrote all the requirements for Legacy IMPACT (ahead of 2.0) and during this effort taught myself to read Java and .Net. I also led the project to map all the data in IMPACT by page and field. Between my extensive knowledge of CLASS and how CCR uses its systems and my knowledge of CPS uses IMPACT and its systems, I offer unique insight to help lead our shared agencies. I also know how APS and APS-PI use the systems, so I have a unique insight int how our agencies interact with the systems

Trained newly hired FAs and BAs to understand how we did things at DFPS. I offered Requirements Gathering and Documentation but my must popular offering, even from groups outside IT, was my personalized SQL class; I even taught the SQL class to our Data Analysts and contract Contract Administrators.

investigate allegations ofabuse/neglect of Foster children

investigate allegations of abuse/neglect of children. Remove children when necessary and testify in court. My favorite part of the job was strengthening families and watching them succeed.

As an Admin Tech, my job meant being ready. I used to watch children during drug busts or removal. I used to help keep them calm during the scariest moments of their lives. I took them to visits with their families and monitored for appropriate behaviors it. it was my introduction to working with DFPS and in my mind, my call home.
