Smith, Hawaii.

As Commander of an Airborne Tactical Psychological Operations Detachment in charge of 13 Soldiers. Entrusted with $1.6 million in assigned equipment. Recognized by the Commander, Combined Joint Task Force--Horn of Africa, for efforts in information operations throughout 1.1 million square miles of East Africa across five nations.Served as Commander of an Airborne Psychological Operations (PSYOP) Detachment.Served on the Battalion staff of the 415th Civil Affairs Battalion as the S-2 (Intelligence). Responsibilities included briefing the Commander on the enemy situation, the friendly civilian situation, and weather effects on operations and training. Attended the Physical Security Officer Course. Served as the Battalion Security Manager, with responsibility for managing the Battalion's security clearances for personnel, maintaining a 90% security clearance attainment within the Battalion.
