Working collaboratively with buying and sales teams to create collections which were both commercial and innovative. Initiated a wearer trial program to get closer to the customer experience based on the principle that a positive customer experience establishes a repeat customer base. 2010-13 Designer - Jersey Products Responsible for the design of the Jersey Product Category for Ted Baker which straddled both the casual jeans and more formal mainline collections. Communicated the designs to the factories and then monitored their development to ensure that the Salesman Samples were interpreted correctly to the design vision and arrived in time.

The collection continues to go from strength to strength.- Instrumental in supporting the design direction as we transitioned our childrenswear licence partnership from Debenhams to Next. Together we built a jersey range which pushed the boundaries of the product category and positioned it as a key category for the business. - Worked directly with the European manufacturers to create new products and monitor the development processes. This involved regular visits to Turkey, Italy and Portugal. - Regularly made research trips to relevant markets, trade and fabric shows etc. - I managed a Product Developer who assisted me with the administrative side of the developments and worked directly with our garment technicians and production teams in fit meetings.2007-10 Junior Designer - Jersey Products - Mentored by senior members of the Ted Baker design team assisting with the jersey product development. - Responsibilities included researching trends, suggesting design direction, selecting fabrications and conceiving details which would align with the Ted Baker design direction. - Communicated the designs to the factories and then monitored their development to ensure that the Salesman Samples were interpreted correctly to the design vision and arrived in time. - Created CAD drawings using Adobe Illustrator clearly annotating the garment construction details, fabrications etc., and established a critical path to ensure the samples were ready for the selling dates.
