Through years of working with a wide diversity of people, have strengthened emotional intelligence and ability to relate to other people.The achievement I am most proud of is leading my campus to highest rating levels in our state accountability system. I attribute most of that success to outstanding teachers. However, there are many systems I have put into place to help reach and maintain these levels of success. Data drives every decision we make, and there are two major tools that I have developed to help track data. The first are Google Sheets that are custom formatted to easily identify student performance by color coding student scores. These sheets are easily sorted and filtered to provide information such as class performance, individual student performance, accountability threshold groups, comparisons between teacher developed tests and district developed tests, differences between current performance and previous year performance, and class averages. We use these sheets for every subject area in grades 2 - 5. The other tool that I developed to monitor academic success are individual student data trackers. Every student has a folder for reading and math with has their prior year STAAR score to use as a benchmark. After every assessment, students graph their scores so that they can visually see if they are "on pace" to at least maintain their academic success (percentage) and also be able to view how far away from rising up to the next threshold on accountability rating system. Additionally, each folder also has page where students set their own realistic goal for each assessment. After the test, I will provide written feedback on how they did. It is very "old school", yet highly effective with our students. I also use Eduphoria to disaggregate data after each district assessment, breaking down student test data to specific levels (individual learning standards, individual test questions, prioritized learning standards, individual student and group answer choices, etc.). This data, and what next steps are instructionally, is the focus of PLC meetings.
