I'm a Site Reliability Engineer / Sysadmin/Architect who balances "Get Stuff Done" with "Do Things Right" to avoid creating excessive technical debt and to make progress on reducing it, while still helping things to move forward. I'm experienced enough to spot many potential issues before they happen. I give my all and get invested in my work and my employer.I've worked at large companies and at start-ups, including being on a founding team. For my next role working for someone else, finding the right team is more important than the size of the company. Specialties: Cloud and Unix systems engineering; Mail systems; ISP Security. I write usage & operational documentation, viewing it as being equally as important as the code. Time not spent on a design document or threat profile document is wasted tenfold or more later in initial development, dealing with the consequences of its absence; even a half-hour one-pager each can be sufficient.
