About Phil Preen

I work as a caller for barn dances and ceilidhs. I work with a number of different bands including The Four Foot Four based in Somerset and The Bang On The Wall Band based in The East Midlands.I am also working part time as IT and Software Manager for a small company manufacturing scientific instruments which are all computer controlled.I am responsible for the design, build, support and maintenance of all of the company's software products which provide control functions, data collection and data analysis for a number of different scientific instruments.Specialties: My primary role is as a software developer currently using VB6, VB.Net, C#, SQL Server, Access and Excel. In the past I have programmed using many different programming languages. Sometimes on small projects on my own, and sometimes as part of a larger team, where I have usually been promoted to senior developer or team leader.
