Phoenix taught me to look at ideas 3-dimensionally, and to consider the implications of the decisions we were going to make. I also witnessed firsthand her ability to closely listen to an organization describe the problem it was seeking to solve and describe its approach, and then provide invaluable feedback to the organization's leader regarding strategic decisions they might need to make. Phoenix has a remarkable ability to sift through the noise and identify the real problem. She doesn't get distracted by ancillary issues. She also has a deep respect for social entrepreneurs, and roots her feedback and engagement in that respect.
