Update:Due to issues with deteriorating health, I have had to step down and join the ranks of disabled Americans learning to live on a so called “fixed” income. It was a good run and lots of friends, fun and hard work along the way, but now I will have to leave it to the younger and more able bodied folks to keep the watch and keep us safe. Thanks to all of those that helped me do all that I did. Too many to name, but you know who you are 😎. I previously worked as a consultant specializing in the area of data and application protection. I install and support multiple vendors and packages including Imperva's SecureSphere platform and McAfee's NDLP, HDLP, IPS, DAM and ePO platforms. After training last year with Imperva, I have achieved their certification as an Imperva Database Security Specialist along with SecureSphere Administration and Database Security and Compliance certifications. Whenever possible I am continuing to add new or update my McAfee certifications which include their Network Security Platform, NDLP and DAM.I have extensive experience in most aspects of voice and data network design, implementation, administration, and security. I work hard to maintain my hands on technical expertise while using that knowledge to maximize vendor relationships and contracts for services and equipment. I have a strong understanding of network security and intrusion detection.I have years of experience with both copper and fiber based networking with a strong emphasis on network security, intrusion detection and forensics. I am a SANS certified GCIA (Certified Intrusion Analyst). I have covered most aspects of Information Technology in my 30+ years in the industry and have been referred to as a "jack of all trades".Specialties: Network Security including IDS/IPS, DAM, DLP.
