The project was investigating the effect of Calcium Ions on Rock Permeability. I led my Honours project team during the final year in university. I set goals and deadline for the team, as well as motivate them and myself. Personally, I studied a novel approach in modelling the adsorption of calcium ions onto porous media and coded it using MATLAB. Additionally, I performed 4 laboratory tests to obtain hard data to validate my model.

I joined the Australian School of Petroleum's Formation Damage Research team in November 2017. I conducted 3 core-flooding tests under the supervision of the laboratory manager. The experiments were investigating how different salinity can lead to different permeability decline in rocks. I did weight measurements, pH calibration and measurements and particle counting. Additionally, I learned about safety procedures and first aid tasks.
