Current* Java development on UltraQuest Reporter product, a robust general purpose client/server reporting tool for large corporations.* Specialize in the user interface (Swing), with experience in most aspects of this rich desktop application and applets in the Web component. Designs include server-side transaction requirements.* Enhanced reporting flexibility and efficiency by re-architecting product to perform SQL-code generation when joining DB2 tables; modified user interface for smoother work flow when joining tables from any data sources.* Enhanced dynamically-generated web content to give administrators the ability to restrict users from sharing report output.* Envisioned, spearheaded, and led development of new integrated desktop, yielding significant improvements to ease of use and visual appeal. This feature was marketed as the focal point of the latest release.* Proposed heuristics to improve ease of use; implemented for report totaling.* Actively involved with team to research and prototype enterprise application for reporting from multiple SQL databases. Exposed to Java EE technologies.* Played pivotal role in designing job scheduler add-on; elicited direct communication with customer to shore-up deficient requirements.
