Worked closely with managers reporting to me, and with marketing, documentation and QA managers, to achieve quality and functionality goals, leading group to produce a stable product meeting requirements in a timely manner.Earlier, managed NOMAD, a 4GL/DBMS Mainframe product running under VM/CMS and MVS. Worked with senior developers to implement, and later modify, a project life cycle methodology to improve product quality. and MVS. Led 7-man-year design and implementation effort to enhance NOMAD with features necessary for sale in Japan, working with a Japanese partner, producing a robust and high-quality product on time. Worked mostly on NOMAD, programming in IBM 370 Assembly Language. Projects include implementing “NAPA”, an independently priced performance monitor and multi-user database access improvements.Responsibilities increased over time to include consultation on external and internal design and support coordination.

Worked on PATRIOT surface-to-air missile project.
