I am a Business Development Manager at OroraTech, a thermal intelligence-as-a-service company providing EO-based solutions to tackle the effects from climate change. We offer products such as a wildfire detection and monitoring solution, supporting users with planning their firefighting efforts with effective analysis of fires before the event (fire risk evaluation), during the event (active fire monitoring), and after the event (burned area analysis). My main responsibilities are in the fields of project management, and the development and preparation of new projects and innovative business ideas. As project manager for Copernicus Contributing Missions, I enable the Copernicus Services to access and use OroraTech's proprietary thermal data from our sensors in space (FOREST-2 launched in 2022). I have 5+ years of experience in the space industry, with previous roles as project manager at ESA BIC Bavaria, having supported 50+ startups in diverse fields with the technical and business-related development of their space technologies or applications, evaluation expert at Copernicus / Galileo / INNOspace Masters and business coach at ESA App Camp, evaluating and supporting 100+ ideas and startups in their first steps, and event manager of the 19th ESA Investor Forum. My background in Biotechnology and Science and Technology studies drives my passion on disruptive technologies and their impact on our society.
