I managed business development with businesses to provide English-Cantonese/Mandarin media coverage. Over the past two years, I was able to increase viewership among millennials, ages 18-35.

I managed accounts and built partnerships with clients that generated $1million+ in revenue over the span of 5 years. These partnerships included TV shows and commercials. My focus was also to broaden the marketing opportunities beyond the screen and monetize our audience wherever they are. In 2000, I led KTSF’s first-ever Asian Heritage Month’s promotional event bringing the local community and businesses together in San Francisco as a way to help broaden our audience demographics. Through this event, I was able to collect data through surveys and forms that were completed that demonstrated our target audience’s way of staying informed. Over the years, I worked on bringing projects that added value to our Asian and Pacific Islander community. One of the TV shows I was able to bring on was through Well’s Fargo: “Talk Finance,” a TV Show on financial literacy on KTSF to strengthen relationships with the Asian community in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I was in sales focusing on the Asian and Filipino market and increased revenue for advertising.Over the four years, I served in various roles starting off as a receptionist. As I gained more experience, my role grew. I had the opportunity to serve in the following roles: Station Assistant (Marketing, TV Traffic Department, News Assistant, Programming), Sales Assistant focused on business development & research, and Account Executive.

Created digital & TV cross-promotional marketing opportunities for local direct to station advertising clients. Integrated advertisers with Evening Magazine and Making it in America programs. Clients included: CSAA, Foundry Networks, WebVan, Chong Hing Jewelers, and Qantas Airlines.

In this role, I wore many hats:I produced a radio show called Nocturnal Transmission that took place daily from 2-6 AM putting on house music mix. On occasions, I was on-air on weekends and nights. I was also part of putting auditions together, creating voice-overs, and promoting different announcements on the air. On occasion, we would be out in the community representing the station, including the AID’s walk.
