To date, my accomplishments include being a key player in the Afiswitch team which was successful in the bid to become South Africa’s provider of a national automated electronic previous conviction enquiry service provider, against the South African Police Service (SAPS) previously convicted and case awaiting trial fingerprint database. I fulfilled the role of Programme Manager throughout the project duration for the conversion of the Department of Home Affairs’ fingerprint records to an electronic format. Both projects were a massive success for the business. Prior to joining Afiswitch, I served as a SAPS Project Manager for a number of high priority business projects, including the large-scale conversion of fingerprint and palm print records to electronic formats as well as the implementation of mobile biometric handheld devices for the SAPS.
