https://www.st-helens.org.uk/ St Helen’s associate scheme has three elements: Biblical and theological training, ministry experience and practical service. The formal training involves typically 16 hours, comprising individual study, with two days spent at the Cornhill Training Course. Less structured training is provided through weekly staff meetings, Bible study leaders’ training, and Sunday and midweek meetings. Associates will normally lead a weekly Bible study group, which involves leading the studies and pastoral support of the group members. In addition, they meet up with between two and four individuals to study the Bible on a one-to-one basis. Associates also carry out a range of practical tasks including preparing rooms for meetings, cleaning the buildings and some administrative tasks.

At PLP Architecture, Ping has recently been involved in the design development of YAC, a BIM level 3 project in Russia. This mixed-use project will host 12,000 employees with the function of office, education, sports and canteens. Ping’s primary responsibility was to communicate the complex geometry and coordinate with local structural engineers to take the schematic design further into the design development stage.Ping has worked on many of PLP’s most renowned projects including 22 Bishopsgate, which will stand as the most prominent tower in the City’s Eastern Cluster. She held a coordination and delivery role on some key packages such as Vertical Transportation, fire curtains and wind mitigation of project 22 Bishopsgate. During the period of three and a half years, she has not only built on her extensive experience from stage 2 through to stage 6, but has also built up a strong relationship with contractor teams. She has taken the initiatives to solve a range of technically challenging site issues by applying her communication skills and technical knowledge.Apart from her technical skills, Ping also demonstrated her capability in running projects from conception to planning application. An example is a consented design for a mixed-use high-rise redevelopment Friars Bridge Court in London.

Other projects of significance include: (i) Project Assima where Ping was in charge of developing the entire 165 unit Marriot Executive Apartment (MEA) in Kuwait; (ii) the Westferry Printworks site and its associated residential buildings; (iii) the office buildings for Nova, Victoria in London; (iv) a residential scheme at New Court, Carey Street in Westminster; (v) a large scale masterplan including residential and office buildings Sampson House and Ludgate House next to the Tate Modern in London; and (vi) a proposal for a masterplan for FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
