Directed a portfolio of agile development projects for the 5 year ABS Transformation Program. Managed several agile teams, working closely with business stakeholders, PMs, architects, vendors and external consultancies. At the program level, I took on a lead role in transition contingency planning, the program testing strategy and business continuity planning. Other achievements included implementation of an agile testing training program for business and technical teams, along with standard test management practices, tools and artefacts.

Built up a newly formed Systems Development Branch, which drew together diverse teams from several divisions and a large STEM systems portfolio. Key achievements were to bed in the new structure, facilitate standard project practices and processes and develop a consistent culture of accountability and partnership with the business. I also introduced applications portfolio management and worked to consolidate systems and architecture. Led IT planning, costing and business case for a major operating model transformation for core weather services, including aviation, marine and Defence forecasts and warnings. Managed over 100 staff and oversaw multiple projects and programs, including the new supercomputer forecast services program (a $68m program of work).

Major projects delivered included the IT implementation of Australia's next-generation weather forecast and warning system throughout Australia, virtualisation of regional data centre infrastructure and implementation of the UN WMO Weather Information System hub in Australia (2013). Managed systems development, deployment and BAU support. Accountable for critical 24x7 forecast and warning system operations, including systems for Defence, Aviation, Fiji and Indonesian Meteorological Services. Member of IT Board.

Managed the Bureau's external web, data and subscription services, project managed transition to external hosting for radar services, implementation of federal digital policies, standards and action plan, achieved AGLS certification and introduced corporate branding to the web site, quality assurance and W3C standards compliance.Developed a successful business case for a services information management system to administer and report on Bureau products and subscription services and managed this project from requirements through to operations.

Joined the APS Senior Women in Management program. Seconded to work in the Policy and Planning Division on developing a framework agreement for a $30m infrastructure development contract for Coode Island chemical storage facility. Prepared ministerial briefs. Also seconded to ANZ Global HR Services to conduct a post implementation review of the new centralised HR service delivery model and HR call centre. Prior to this I worked as a senior software and database developer in financial services, then IT lecturer at Swinburne University.
