My name is PJ Pretorius, and I am a computer science student at the University of Stellenbosch. I am excited to introduce myself to you and share my passion for the computer science industry and my enthusiasm for contributing to society in meaningful ways.As a student, I have demonstrated exceptional academic performance in all of my grades and have completed solo and team projects that showcase my creativity and problem-solving skills. In addition to my academic achievements, I have a history of leadership and teamwork that is demonstrated by my participation in various leadership programs, including the Harvard Leadership Program in 2018, where I developed my leadership skills. I was also elected head boy of my High School, Curro Mossel Bay in 2020, which is a testament to my leadership skills.I am also passionate about community service and have been involved in various initiatives that have helped others achieve their goals. I am a natural team player and have organized and hosted multiple fundraisers and events that have contributed to society in significant ways. My ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others has been instrumental in achieving our objectives in these initiatives.In terms of my career goals, I am interested in becoming a software developer or working in the computer science industry, and maybe cyber security. I have a solid foundation in computer science, and I am confident in my abilities to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
