About Patrick Brady

Patrick was admitted to practice as a Certified Practising Valuer in 1988 and has covered the full spectrum of the property sector, extending from residential through to complex commercial and court accredited family law valuations.A late starter to the profession after careers in farming and teaching, Patrick commenced in residential property management with the Professionals, Essendon and then commercial management with Jones Lang La Salle, City Office. Patrick was then appointed Assistant City Valuer with the City of Wyndham, allowing for valuation experience in all types of property including rural, intensive agricultural and special purpose properties. Patrick then joined a large finance organisation where he was senior property analyst, specialising in feasibility analysis and portfolio review throughout Australia and South East Asia.In 1992, Patrick founded WBP Property Group, which is now one of the largest privately owned valuation companies in Australia, with offices in each state and an expanding regional presence.Now employing over 250 staff, Patrick’s vision was one of technology with quick and reliable service to clients especially to major banks. In 2007, this vision was recognised when WBP was announced the Telstra Victorian Business of the Year.Patrick is an active participant and Fellow of the Australian Property Institute and member of the Board of Examiners. Patrick also holds a position on the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Business and Law, Deakin University and a committee member of the Valuation Chapter at the REIV.Patrick’s contribution to the industry is well-recognised by regular invitations to present at conferences, industry events and requests to contribute to various industry and media news publications.
