Primary Novell engineer on site. Responsibilities included upgrading Novell Operating Systems and patches to newest versions including E-directory. Managed I-Chain server and worked with Microsoft engineers to integrate Novell’s Identity Management product into existing environment. Backed-up Microsoft engineers and Cisco engineers.

Supervised all areas of the network including all back-end network infrastructure and servers, Oracle databases, PeopleSoft, Microsoft and Novell operating systems, Cisco switches and routers, firewall, wireless network and budget. Responsible for creating, updating and enforcing all computer policies for the entire organization. Project manager for all Network Operations projects. HIPAA security officer for entire organization.

Engineer for over 300 local end users. Upgraded, maintained, and supported Novell and Microsoft servers. Ensured uptime of entire network including managing over 30 Cisco switches and one Cisco router. Setup test environment of various E-Directory environments and Identity Manager to synchronize dissimilar directories to provide central administration and reduce manual processes. Responsible for all network upgrade projects. Responsible for remote access users through a Perle Remote Access Server utilizing Steel Belted Radius. Responsible for all local facets of security including anti-virus on servers.

Engineer for over 200 local end users. Maintained and supported Novell and Microsoft servers. Provided end user support for Windows 95 and Windows NT workstations. Handled classified and unclassified information following proper procedures.

Administrator for over 300 end users. Upgraded 3 Novell servers to 4.11 and service packs. Setup and maintained one Netware 5.0 server. Responsible for maintaining NDS, network security, network anti-virus, and company policies and procedures. Setup and maintained one Windows NT 4.0 application server. Researched, determined, and purchased all company computer hardware and software. Responsible for network uptime of entire MAN links including servers, bridges, CSU/DSU’s, and T-1’s. Setup test beds for upcoming projects and ran real-time testing to reduce overall complexity and network troubleshooting.
