A lifelong passion for engineering drove me to qualify as an Aeronautical Engineer. This specialised mechanical engineering field has allowed me to understand all the practical design theories of mechanical engineering as well as to specialise in fluid flows and composite/light-weight structure design, which is vital in the design of world inspiring watercraft. My work experience obtained during and after my studies has resulted in 7 years’ experience of designing, proposing, and ultimately managing the production of components used in machines from light aircraft and 35-tonne underground locomotives, to 50- and 55-foot catamarans. Managing and maintaining my designs from the first-hand drawn concept to the end of their products’ lifecylce is what drives me to do it all over again, learning from the last.
