I'm Head of Research, Praxis Care. I have experience of working as a social researcher in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector and serve as a co-worker with people with lived experience and academics on a range of research projects in the broad domains of intellectual disability and mental ill health. I have also worked on research in the areas of decision making, physical activity, safeguarding and transitions for care leavers. I'm currently working on an evaluation of the SPELL Framework and on the measurement of impact using social value methods. Other interests include psychosocial oncology.I'm super interested in co-production, reproducible research methods and tool chains, coding for social science, mixed methods research and knowledge mobilisation. Some of these technical and methodological interests reflect previous professional experience as a Technical Author.Beyond work, I have a life long fascination with natural and planned languages, language revitalisation, inter-cultural communication, plurilingualism and multilingualism. I also love cricket.
