Projects, Collaborations, And Media Strategy For The Office Of Business Development
CurrentThe USAGM weekly unduplicated global audience has more than doubled to 420 million people during my time with the Agency thanks to revised strategies, goal-setting, implementation of research, and modernization of media products and distribution -- collectively intended to address fast-changing media habits of target audiences.Within the Office of Business Development, I represent the Agency as part of the affiliate relations group, develop research-based global media strategy, make content development recommendations, pursue internal and external collaborations, serve as Product Manager to vet new-to-market digital content creation and distribution tools, and participate in global media development and journalism training efforts.Current areas of focus include: * West Africa Regional Marketing Officer, handling affiliate relations and business development, leading to record audiences in Nigeria and the region.* Product Management of an OTT/VOD streaming solution in 24 languages across all USAGM brands. Platforms include Apple TV, iOS, Samsung Smart TV, Android TV, Android handheld, Amazon Fire TV, LG, and others. Globally deployed Apps include VOA+, Votvot (for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty), and Alhurra Connect.* Developing proof of concept and use cases for Cloud-based television playout.* Development of updated media strategies for emerging and frontier markets of strategic importance to the United States government. Previous projects include the leading of USAGM's global audience research contract with Gallup - liaising with partners such as the BBC, Deutsche Welle, France Médias Monde, and others.USAGM, formerly the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), is collectively the Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, Radio/TV Martí, and the Middle East Broadcasting Networks (Alhurra Television).
