Established in 1969, the Foundation uses funds arising from interest paid on lawyers’ pooled trust accounts and other sources to make the law and justice system accessible, particularly to those segments of the public who have the greatest barriers to access.As the Law Foundation's Director of Finance, I'm modernizing the Finance function, increasing efficiency, enhancing reporting and forecasting depth and accuracy, and strengthening financial internal controls. I'm also researching opportunities for transforming how our partner organizations conduct financial reporting and of how funders evaluate the financial aspects of grant applications, with an aim to supporting equitable, trust-based grantmaking that allows our partner organizations to be most effective.
