I'm a recent graduate that obtained my BS in Computer Science from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. I also have a BA in Psychology from Oakland University. During my stay at these universities, I have obtained a lot of theoretical and mathematical based knowledge in the field of Computer Science. I realized that I was lacking in applications and obtained a paid internship at Gentherm for over a year. During my stay there, I obtained some practical experience in Software Testing and Systems Engineering. After that, I wanted to improve my programming skills and took a Java Web Developer apprenticeship in Akron, Ohio where I built multiple projects which included a Blog and simple interactive websites which incorporated CRUD methods such as a DVD library. After that experience, I focused on academics to complete my degree and within the courses, there was more theoretical and conceptual practice rather than industry standard applications. My last course at WSU incorporated applications. It was a Senior Project Internship that got me involved with the company "Store Upward" so I could solve a business problem with a team. Our team had to create a machine learning model that predicted user behaviour with at most 70% accuracy.
