Bill Spencer is a media specialist with over 35 years experience as an artist, information architect, user experience, user interface, coder, photographer, videographer with experience in creating enterprise level web experiences, branding, ad campaigns, large format display systems, policy, developing award wining programs from the ground up. Providing guidance in the areas of innovation, business process reengineering and process improvement. Currently Bill is providing media leadership to both the CityGates church and Calvary Chapel Magazine and also leading Calvary Chapel Mobile Media. A ministry that travels from church to church to help them establish or improve their media outreach and processes.At the Defense Media Activity Bill was responsible for research and development of emerging technology for inclusion into the Defense Media Activity family of frameworks and IT solutions.While serving as the Chief of Web for Navy.mil, Bill focused on the design and development of content management and cross platform display logic. Providing both art and creative direction for web / interactive products for Navy.mil as well for All Hands Magazine. Bill founded Old Line Productions in 1994 providing web based solutions and pioneering the implementation of online audio and video. He founded Pope de Flash in 1997 where he created Flash information display systems for clients such Zerox, NASA, and Black Entertainment Television and the US Navy.In 2003 Bill became the interactive media branch head for the Naval Surface Warfare Centers where he was responsible for the design, development and deployment of a content management system that serviced 3400+ employees. In 2007 Bill became the Chief of Web/Creative Director for Navy.mil the main portal for the U.S. Navy. Bill is also a speaker/instructor and has written or been a contributing author / technical reviewer for a number of books including Swift 3D, Most Wanted , Flash Magic 2004 MX, and others.
