CurrentProvides mapping and analysis of environmental impacts for a wide variety of projects such as bridge and roadway construction, industrial site selection, mass transit system conception and redesign, and environmental remediation efforts, generates mass transit route maps and ridership analyses, utilizes models and scripts to produce streamlined workflows intended for quick and easily reproducible data analysis results, records step-by-step written methodology for complex data analysis, manages geodatabases and enforces data storage guidelines of national, state, local and regional GIS data, compiles detailed metadata for internal use and for client data deliverables following FGDC standards, collects a wide array of data in various formats such as geodatabases, shapefiles, Google Earth KMZs, CAD DWGs, MicroStation DGNs, corrected and uncorrected GPS files, Access tables, Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, images, etc., transforms and cleans data into usable GIS data by means of file conversion, post-processing, uploading by XY, geocoding, georeferencing, digitizing, etc, collaborates remotely and in-person with offices and departments throughout the country, supports field crews by uploading and downloading data to and from GPS units and teaching crewmembers how to use the GPS unit when necessary, provides training and demonstrations of technical procedures for colleagues with varying levels of GIS experience, troubleshoots software issues and develops solutions/workarounds, manages large workloads and tight deadlines without becoming overwhelmed and can prioritize tasks for many different projects at a time to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction
