    The Program Coordinator role is unlike any student services role I have experienced! Even as a manager with University of Phoenix, I did not have this type of exposure to course curriculum, faculty, electives planning, and Orientations. Working for ASU as an Online MBA Coordinator allows me to tap into and hone my public speaking skills as I am often speaking in front of groups of 75, 100, or 120 students. A focus of the role is student engagement. I organize and facilitate Online programming and networking events for students to enhance their professional development. For each milestone throughout the student's program, I organize and deliver adobe connect sessions to better communicate critical information making the online platform a bit more interactive. A big part of my job is planning each semester for our new student orientations while simultaneously preparing our students in their final semester for Graduation. Along with these big events my day to day might include registering students for courses, ensuring Blackboard sites are successfully ready to go for course start dates, communicating University policies and procedures to our students, assessing the student progress and communicating the appropriate academic status such as probation, discontinuation, or recommended for dismissal to our Deans. It is a role in which I am constantly challenged and great preparation for future roles.
