Head of Acquisition & Estates: Responsible for the acquisition subsequent portfolio management of GSM/3G base stations on Jersey, The States of Guernsey, Alderney and Sark. Duties include all aspects of acquisition & town planning, production and presentation of reports for Guernsey Airtel and Bharti Group; the design and implementation of the process management procedure and reporting format; direct lease negotiation with current and prospective site providers; negotiation of site share agreements with other operators and a multi site agreement with the States; liaison with the States Authorities and ministers as well as representation at local resident and other stakeholder meetings; rent review and rent auditing, licence variations and all other matters relating to Estate Management.

Area Project Manager – Site Acquisition. Responsible for securing the rights and consents to install microwave transmission antennas for over four hundred Vodafone base stations. This involved the hiring and continuous management of external acquisition agents in order to facilitate the efficient acquisition of sites; recording, coordinating and driving all aspects of the acquisition, transmission, town planning and design teams; the design, production and presentation of reports for Siemens and Vodafone; the design and implementation of the process management procedure and reporting format; direct lease negotiation with current and prospective site providers; the analysis of existing leases with regard to upgrade rights and the addition of antennas; liaison with Local Planning Authority departments and representation at local resident and other stakeholder meetings. Other duties include the vetting of potential contractors and legal liaison.

Site Acquisition Manager – Responsible for managing the acquisition of wireless internet access base stations for UK Broadband across London. Work to date including the analysis of Inquam (ex-Dolphin) and nominal sites; liaison with current and prospective site providers and lease negotiation; recording, coordinating and driving all aspects of the acquisition, RF, transmission, town planning and design teams; the analysis of existing leases with regard to upgrade rights and the addition of antennas. Other duties include the management of business rates; vetting of potential contractors and legal liaison.

Site Acquisition Manager – South West Region. Responsible for managing the acquisition of 2G/3G base stations along main line rail lines for the Vodafone Ivor project. This involved the hiring and continuous management of external acquisition agents in order to facilitate the efficient acquisition of sites; recording, coordinating and driving all aspects of the acquisition, RF, transmission, town planning and design teams; the design and production of reports for Bechtel and Vodafone; the design and implementation of the process management procedure and reporting format.

GSM New Site Acquisition Manager. Responsible for managing the 2G Rollout team for Accelera Wireless Ltd including the co-ordination of acquisition, design, RF planning, Town Planning and transmission teams, in particular the Site Acquisition Team. Tasks so far include the recruitment of the winning acquisition team; project management in terms of the formulation of realistic and achievable project timelines & rollout schedules; training by seminar and manuals; the design and implementation of the process management procedure and reporting format; formulation of local planning authority guidance manuals and training presentations.

Process Consultant and Design Manager. Responsible for the management of acquisition, design and construction issues relating to the promotion of Railtrack Land for use by mobile operators. Tasks included undertaking quality audits for the purpose of recouping monies paid to the contractor for unsatisfactory work; the drafting, in conjunction with the Marconi legal team, of legal documentation such as the standard lease, licence and easement agreements; the continuous management of the design contractor which included the setting of specific attainable targets which are measurable, time-bonded and relevant to the requirements of the company.

National Acquisition Manager. Responsible for all matters concerning acquisition strategy planning for Motorola’s German 3G team. Tasks included the investigation of the German property market, such as tenure and land ownership, build permit procedure, telecom law, health and safety law in relation to electro smog, creation of a suitable Node B lease; managing the vetting of new contractors and the promotion of strategic partnerships with equipment and professional service companies using company vetting, SOW & MOU methods; project management in terms of the formulation of realistic and achievable project timelines & rollout schedules, formulation and production of rollout procedures & forms; budgeting and budgeting analysis.

Project manager Prague. Responsible for leading and co-ordinating the planning, acquisition, construction and general management of over 280 BTS, BSC and MSC sites covering the city of Prague, plus additional projects such as Hot Stand By, SDH, Metro and Dual Band upgrades. The work involved the creation of a winning team of radio planning, micro-wave, acquisition and site preparation managers working closely with external contractors and their continuous management by setting specific attainable targets per discipline that are easily measurable, time-bonded and relevant to the requirements of an effective roll-out.

Acquisition Manager - Istanbul. Responsible for leading the acquisition of approximately 200 base stations in addition to BSC and MSC sites. Responsibilities included the investigation of the Turkish property market such as tenure, land registration and notarisation as well as State and Municipality property law; the hiring, training and continuous management of local in house acquisition specialists and external acquisition agents; reporting to the Nokia steering committee in terms of strategy decisions, objective setting and achievements; the design and implementation of the process management procedure and reporting format.

Acquisition Manager 2nd Contract - Responsible for managing the acquisition of approximately 120 base station sites, the work involving the management of the Nokia Turnkey team in order to facilitate the efficient acquisition of sites; recording, monitoring and driving all aspects of the radio planning, acquisition and design stage to site ready to build.

Acquisition Manager. Responsible for leading the investigative team into Switzerland to aid the Orange Viag Licence Bid team, as well as to train and familiarise Swiss companies in the acquisition and design of base stations, BSC’s and MSC’s. Assistance to the bid team included the investigation of the Swiss property market, such as tenure and land ownership, Swiss property law, Federal, Cantonal and Commune law relating to both land ownership and build permit procedure, telecom law and law on health and safety particularly in relation to electro smog; reporting for equipment vendor selection in terms of roll/out objectives. The training of a Swiss acquisition and design team included the hiring of external companies via an RFQ process; training by seminar and manuals; the design and implementation of the process management procedure and reporting format.
