Environmental Field Technician
Current• Take inventory of hazardous waste in the field and direct to the sales department for pricing• Identify and separate hazardous waste according to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) guideline and label accordingly• Perform JSA, FLHA and Hazard ID procedures to eliminate potential safety hazards• Collect hazardous waste and direct to the facility for further processing• Supervise Suncor Petro-pass Oil Water Separator remediation, winterization and dispatch waste for disposal • Several spills clean out respond• Test the compatibility of hazardous waste using sample testing, MSDS and pH • Prepare proper shipping document / Manifest for the waste transport and disposal• Identify and separate all the household hazardous waste pick up at Swift Current, SK• Take inventory, identify hazardous and dispatch Edmonton Public School Board hazardous waste• Helping for Phase II soil sampling at New Alta project for Orphan Well Association (OWA)• Hazardous waste specialist for Trans Canada Peace River Mainline Pipeline abandonment at project at Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, Valleyview, AB • Radiation safety officer for several shut down and turn around operation at IOL Kearl lake AB, Shell Fox creek AB, Husky Lloydminster AB and ensure workers safety from NORM contamination• Identify NORM waste in the field and dispatch for waste disposal, NORM Sampling• Extensive experience in handling Ludlum 3-97 Scintillation and 44-9 pancake probe detector and Tracerco T-406 detector to identify NORM contamination
