I’ve almost 20 years of teaching experience in India, both national and International curriculum, which makes me comfortable working with different nationals of secondary level and to better prepare students for university study .... I’m inquisitive, very energetic, dependable, and self-motivated. I believe in a flexible manner of teaching. Every student, regardless of background, can improve his or her ability to grasp any information so I strongly believe and encourage the students to engage with the topic at hand, with me, and with each other in the belief that good teaching depends upon intellectual exchange.I encourage a student’s ability to think , discuss, and debate over current affairs on regular basis. Thanks to great teachers, I learned how to construct an effective historical argument and grasped the significance of history for contemporary world. In my teaching I aim to evoke the same enthusiasm and excitement of discovery and achievement that I felt ,as my student time in school or college.In the classroom, I engage students with vibrant historical themes, literature, ppt and other historical accounts. History also offers excellent opportunities for developing analytical skills, interpretation skills, which are central to any professional career. Studying history can make students more active and responsible citizens, and be the highlight of an undergraduate’s career.While teaching ,my first goal is to create an atmosphere that encourages participation and involvement. I organize assignment and other project based learning(PBL) to promote critical analysis of primary and secondary sources. I also encourage slow learners to prepare questions or PPT before coming to class as per the topic. Sometimes I assign weekly reading responses, or PBL,QUIZ etc.It is because of the above factors that I believe I am a history teacher par excellence. I have an experience in teaching IB , IGCSE,CBSE & ICSE,CBSE students.
