As a key contributor to both Product and Engineering teams, my role centers on managing the development and operational efficiency of compliance solutions. I specialize in overseeing data screening and validation processes, with a strong emphasis on import/export controls, sanctions, and trade compliance (HSN classification, ECCN, free trade agreements, etc.). I actively collaborate with engineering and software development teams to optimize data extraction, streamline user interfaces, and enhance product design to meet compliance requirements.In addition to product development, I play a vital role in operational management by ensuring seamless integration of trade compliance features into the product. I also lead training initiatives, empowering sales teams to effectively navigate product offerings and support client engagement.

As part of the Trade Compliance team, I ensured Amazon transactions satisfy legal, safety, export requirements in accordance with guidelines set by regulatory bodies. The core task of Compliance Operations (C-Ops) is Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification of ASINs (Amazon standard identification number) through several methods; including Rule Writing, Manually reviewing each ASIN and performing research on products for determining the various attributes required for the purpose of classification.• I have been responsible for maintaining the Quality of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications to be 100% accurate for the products imported by amazon in various marketplaces such as the United states (US) Canada (CA), Gulf countries (GCC), Singapore (SG), Australia (AU), Brazil (BR), and prominent European countries (EU)• Responsible for quality, root cause analysis on process & quality gaps and recommending corrective actions.• Proven multitasking skills.• Demonstrated ability to embrace constant change with flexibility and good grace.• Demonstrated appropriate sense of urgency and adaptability in response to changing business needs.• Delivered on the performance metrics such as productivity and quality with appreciable numbers on a monthly basis and outperformed on various occasions.• Trained and mentored new hires and other associates and also acted as an SME for resolving queries related to classification, thereby improving and honing my own classification skills.
