About Pranav Kuber, Phd
Pranav Madhav Kuber: My research focuses on designing novel products, improving traditional assessment techniques, and developing guidelines for effective implementation of devices in the real-world. Through thoroughly designed experiments and data-driven approaches, I study human interactions with products/systems/environment. Insights gained from assessments of physical and cognitive demands imposed on humans can then be implemented to develop interventions (wearable assistive devices), tools (e.g., fall-risk and fatigue prediction models), and guidelines. Efforts also algin with developing user-centric product designs to enhance human comfort and productivity.Major contributions include: (a) Designing efficient human-product interfaces by recording and analyzing physiological data (such as., by detecting comfort levels in seat designs using motion analysis, and evaluating physical ergonomics during VR/AR tasks), and qualitative assessments.(b) Utilizing motion analysis to augment traditional clinical tests for detecting affected motor functions in stroke patients.(c) Leveraging controlled experiments to develop tools and guidelines for efficient as well as safe implementation of industrial exoskeletons in the real-world.Publications: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=ryifaqAAAAAJ
