In my capacity as a QRA, I would be holding special office hours to facilitate the learning of students taking MATH 225 - Probability and Statistics.This position entails two office-hour sessions, and an hour of pre-grading homework. Additionally, during exam weeks, I hold extra review sessions to help students grasp key concepts in the knick of time.My responsibility also entails direct and concise communication with the instructor for the course pertaining to the students' utilization of the QRA resources.

-Queried and processed bulk-RNAseq data of AML samples gathered as a part of the paper titled "Integrative Analysis of Drug Response and Clinical Outcome in Acute Myeloid Leukemia"-Performed gene set enrichment analysis and differential gene expression analysis (DESeq2) to identify pathways/biomarkers of survival enriched in NRAS-mutant AML samples- Querying and downloading raw RNA-seq data FASTQ files of HL-60 cells under PMA-induced time-series experiments from the Sequence Read Archive (SRA) using the SRA toolkit.- Aligning raw RNA-seq data using the subjunc function of R’s Rsubread library to the hg38 human genome and using the featureCounts function to produce exon-junction counts matrices.- Using DESeq2 to perform analysis across different time points to understand the time-series variation in splicing of HL-60 transcripts.

1. Utilized dplyr to isolate college enrollment metrics from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) for approximately 2000 American higher education institutions.2. Merged college location data from the National Historical Geographic Information System with the IPEDS data.3. Performed single variable linear regression between the enrollment growth rates and the initial year enrollment to determine a decreasing enrollment growth trend in colleges from 1980 to 2019.

Name of Internship Program: Biomedical and Bioinformatics Research Internship and Training Experience (B-BRITE)During this ten week internship, I --Used Seurat to visualize the heterogeneity of cell types and differentially expressed genes in a publicly available scRNA-seq atlas of non-small cell lung cancer - via the creation of UMAP and MA plots.-Scaled and improvised the submodular feature-based subset selection algorithm of Python's apricot library to select representative cell-subsets of the atlas.-Demonstrated the substantial preservation of cell-type distribution and differentially expressed genes in the subsets of the atlas.-Won an award for outstanding poster at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute Internship Symposium.

• Learned elementary concepts of Artificial Neural Networks under the guidance of Dr. Rajendra Deodhar.• Used the COUNTIF function of MS Excel to visualize the distribution of data points in a dataset containing the qualities of red Vinho Verde wine samples from Northern Portugal.• Utilized MATLAB’s nnstart tool to create a pattern recognition neural network that predicts the quality of red wine based on 11 phytochemical factors with 75% accuracy.• Created a LaTeX report to document the mathematical representation of backpropagation, as well as the evolution of my approach in creating the neural network model.
