Roles and Responsibilities at ETISALAT: -Planning of OSP & ISP for GPON/FTTH, Junction and Access Network using the latest state of the art tools including:• Network Engineer 6 by Telcordia (Arc Map/Arc GIS)• OPNET• CBCM (Corporate Billing & Customer Management)• Live Link• PMS (Provisioning Management System)Responsibilities include: FTTH/GPON Planning, Estimation, Route Selection, OSP Planning, Fiber Management, Fiber Budget Control, ONT Services.  Forecast for future requirements, GPON solution for new sectors. Expanding, upgrading & enhancing the Junction and Access Network (Fixed Fiber Optic Network) NOC for permission submitted by contractor & consultant issuing building permits for Connectivity. Plan Approvals for small industrial, power houses, small buildings, villas & other major project specified by engineer. Inspecting the buildings for telecom connectivity and ensures that all the work is carried out as per the company standards. Inspecting & Testing of Structured Cabling and the internal fiber network designed by the contractors.  Preparation of As Built Diagram and Updating the Maps for latest changes made in GIS using Telcordia Network Engineer Software.  Educating and Managing the Contractors for following the set standards in implementation of Fiber To The Home (FTTH) project.

Roles and Responsibilities at ETISALAT: - Implementation of GPON/FTTH projects. Installation of ONT/ONU /MDU at Customer premises. Migrating existing customers to GPON. Experienced in Huawei and Zhone OLT’s. Installing new services like DEL, DSL, PABX, BRI, PRI, Integrated Access Device (IAD) and IPTV. Providing technical support for existing GPON Customers. Installation of ODF, Splitter and other fiber network elements. Testing the Fiber loss at FDH/ODF/Splitter with Power meter. Carry out planning and implementation FTTH projects to meet company business requirements Carry out repair & testing activities of FTTH network equipment & ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with recommended standards Familiar with test equipments being utilized in fiber optic cable testing and fault tracing. (I.e. OTDR, Optical Level Meter, Optical Power Meter, Laser Source, cable locator). Familiar with splicing equipment being utilized in fiber optic cable emergency and fusion splicing (i.e. Cleavers, Fusion Splicer, mechanical splices etc.) Organizing and pulling new UTP and Fiber cables, Terminating and Labeling inside the cable Tray Responsible for the testing and troubleshooting all the UTP and Fiber cables with Project support team.

 Installation and Maintenance of the ERICCSON DSLAM Exchange Monitoring and maintaining DSLAM port utilization. Responsible for the quality and error free Installation of normal DELs, DSL, BRI, PRI and Leased Lines. Proficient in LAN/WAN Design & Support, Fiber Optic Technologies and Data Networking ͠Experienced in MSAN Installation and troubleshooting of WIFI routers and VPN routers Experienced in the Configuration and trouble-shooting of customer end Modems, Routers (Beetel,D-Link, Xyxel,Netgear,Linksys etc) Configuring IP Cams, Remote Desktoping etc using Static IP’s. Responsible for providing technical support for existing broadband internet customers. Installation and Maintenance of mail clients like MS Outlook, Outlook Express. Resolving the customer complaints and requests within agreed SLA times Design and Planning of network as per market survey and market requirement. Planning for the enhancement of the network according to utilization & market requirement. Installation and commissioning of Network elements. Project Co-ordination with the field engineers for Network creation.  Project implementation as per construction standards and preparing as built diagrams. Co-ordination with other departments OPEX & CAPEX control & management as per Company budget & norms. Quality, performance & Acceptance test as per standards. Maintaining MIS reports Analyzing & maintaining the parameters like SLA, CPD, and MTTR etc. as per norms. Copper and Fiber project implementation, ie.trenching,backfilling,ducting etc Co-ordination with contractor and preparing data sheets and billing. Quality & Acceptance test as per company standards
