In this role I am the business partner HR for one of the Steel Melting Shops of Tata Steel. I am responsible for all the HR related processes for a total of 2500+ employees (50 officers, 1000 non officers and 1500 contract workers)My role is to support the business unit from the human resource perspective to ensure business continuity and smooth functioning of the business unit.The things that I am responsible for the Business Unit that I support as a business unit HR are:-1. My project was on assessing the living wages of the contract employees at Tata Steel and determining any interventions required to bridge the gap between the living and the earned wagesMy key deliverables were:-1. Designing a survey questionnaire.2. Interviewing the contract employees and collecting data3. Analyzing the data collected, calculating living wages using the data and comparing the living wages with the earned wages4. Benchmarking best practices regarding wage provisions and amenities for contract employees - mainly in the manufacturing and construction companies operating in India5. Recommending ways to bridge the gap between the living wages and the earned wages.My major learnings from the project were:-1. Concept of wages - minimum, fair and living wages2. Different standards for calculating living wages3. Contract labor management at Tata Steel and at 15 other companies4. All the labor and Industrial laws and acts applicable to contract labors in India

I was working with Infosys as a Java Developer. My role was to develop, maintain and enhance applications for the client. My client was Pfizer (The biggest pharmaceutical company in the world). All the application that I developed and enhanced were mainly used in the Research and Development department of Pfizer which was used in Clinical Trials to develop medicines. I was engaged in a lot of direct client interactions in the process of requirement gathering and project presentations which has helped me a lot to develop my communication and interpersonal skills. Also, working in a Pharmaceutical domain has also helped me to acquire knowledge about the business process and workings of the Pharma industry.Achievements :-1. Project Description :- My project title in TATA MOTORS was "Elimination of crack in MB4 collar of engine crank shaft". A crank shaft is a mechanical part of an engine which converts the linear motion of the engine piston to rotational motion. Collar of crank shaft are present mainly for load balancing. MB4 collar here specifies the 4th collar of the Main bearing (MB). I was working on the crank shaft of a V-6 Tata World Truck engine crank shaft.My Role :- My role in the project was to identify the reason for the cracks that were present in the end product crank shafts by analyzing the various mechanical machining processes involved in the making of the engine crank shaft. I was also required to provide solutions so that the cracks in the engine crank shaft could be totally eliminated,

Project Description :- My project title in TATA STEEL was "Increasing the reliability of a Stacker cum Reclaimer". Stacker cum Reclaimer is a machine which is used to stack the incoming raw materials in the company in the form of heap dumps and the reclaim it and send it to various departments via conveyor belt system as and when required.My Role :- My role in the project was to find out the glitches and issues in the mechanical functionality of various parts of the Stacker cum Reclaimer machine and to recommend solutions to these issues which would in turn help in increasing the reliability of the machine.
