DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:-1) Training & Development :- • Provides a leadership and resource role in the provision of patient care.• Recruitment of Nursing Staff• Training & Development of Nursing• Induction to new employee• Implementation of Nursing Standard• Addresses issues using problem solving framework.2) Cost effectiveness :-• To keep close control on the hospital Inventory (Dept wise) • Emphasis on reusability of items after proper sterilization • Develop new product at lowest cost without compromising the quality • Visits to Dr’s for continuous improvement in patient care 3) Clinical Practice:-• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process within established hospital, divisional and unit specific policies and procedures, standards and protocol;• Demonstrate knowledge and clinical assessment, skills, appropriate to clinical area.• Take direct and appropriate action in urgent and emergency situation.• Documents all assessment, interventions and other pertinent information in the patient's health care record in a timely and ongoing manner. • Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with patient / families, other health care team members and staff of other department.4) Quality:-• Anticipates and acts to maintain a safety environment.• Patient care systems, and continuously seeks way to improve.• Participates in unit based quality initiatives. 5) Professionalism • Serves as a professional role model, and resource person.• Develops and utilized professional collegial networking.• Demonstrates respects, compassion and cultural sensitivity to patients/families and other hospital employee.• Advocates for excellence in patients, care and for patient rights.• Assumes responsibility for own actions, decisions and behaviors. Operation TheaterEnsuring that all the supply is available for the day Assigning the staff for each case Ensuring safe environment in the theatre Ensuring all the schedule cases start in time Reporting and recording the Nursing notes and any sentinel event to the management A) SCRUB NURSE:-Consist of patient advocacy and safety, with confidentiality being the outmost importance. Building professional working relationship with the surgeons and the other member of the health care team.B) Professional Accountability:1. Practice within hospital policies and procedures, standard of Nursing practice, Professional Code of Practice.2. Maintains confidentiality of patients and staff.3. Ensures safety of the environment for patient and staff.4. Participates in continuing and in-service education.5. Reports and documents accidents, errors or omissions.6. Demonstrates professionalism through work performance, appearance, attitude and conduct.7. Seeks feedbacks regarding own licensure performance and make appropriate improvements.8. Maintains current nursing licensure in country registration.9.
