The Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited is a Special Purpose Vehicle incorporated under the Companies Act 2013 for the implementation of Smart City Projects in Nagpur. NSSCDCL is seeking to develop Nagpur a truly inclusive city by removing the dichotomous growth and also enhancing the city profile by improving the quality of life in vulnerable areas to bring them at par with the rest of the city. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, has floated out challenges like India Cycles for Change, Streets for People, and Nurturing Neighbourhood Challenge to inspire cities to create walking-friendly streets through quick measures. The Challenges will support across the country to develop a unified vision of streets for people in consultation with stakeholders and citizens.
