Project: In-Store Product Search Relevancy Tool• Developed a Search Relevancy tool using Angular JS, HAPI, Node JS, SQLite and REST API’s to improve the relevancy of search engine for the In-Store Product Search app. It comprised of the following two features:1. Relevancy Ranker Tool2. Scoring Algorithm API• Built a Relevancy Ranker Tool to allow the Walmart analysts to human-curate (re-rank) the results for every query with minimum usability.• The tool was smart enough to track the performance of every analyst while appropriately assigning queries per account.• Developed a comparison tool that implemented the Scoring Algorithm API to auto-generate an email report detecting the worst query results based upon the scores.• Conducted user interviews at nearby Walmart stores to gather feedback on experience with In-Store Product Search appBusiness Impact: Successfully helped improve the relevancy and in due course tune the search engine for the In-Store Product Search mobile app by incorporating a user perspective to have the best pertinent results at the top of the page.
