People in media must be like a Swiss army knife, meaning they must have many tools and skills to assist them in the future. This is what I have strived to do throughout my journey. In pursuit of working in media, I have dabbled and worked in various positions to build a skillset worthy of any reputable media organization. My proudest position in college was as News & Culture Director at KTSW 89.9. In this role, I managed and scheduled my team of editors, reporters, and writers while continuing to edit, report, and write myself. I'm also very proud of my part in turning the former Web Content Department into the News & Culture department and creating more audio opportunities for my reporters. I also worked as an Editorial Intern with BetterWork Media Group. In this role, I continued growing my skills with WordPress, interviewing, editing and more. Nonetheless, I have experience in photography, illustration, peer-reviewing, audio editing and more through my other positions and courses from high school to now. In May 2024, I graduated through TXST's School of Journalism and Mass Communications and the TXST Honors College! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a minor in Peace and Social Justice Studies. Currently, I am a Project Manager for Launch Team Inc. Here, I work in marketing, content, management and more as I oversee clients and projects in high tech industries like optics, photonics, manufacturing, etc. From here, I’m continuing to expand my media skills professionally and hope to grow further as I embark on my career journey.
