Charlotte, North Carolina

I supervised every segment of the industrial fire protection installation process. That involved managing field service technicians, designing the sprinkler system with AutoCAD (HydraCAD), traveling to onsite locations to coordinate with customers and professionals in other fields, selecting/inspecting material and budgeting projects, closeout and submittal paperwork, and coordinating with general contractors to meet the needs of the customer. This position gave me the chance to experience first hand professional interaction while balancing multiple projects that are all in different phases. It was a very fast paced environment and the skills I obtained and utilized were invaluable. Responsibilities ranged from: analyzing cost of materials, conducting weekly project update meetings, accumulating all monthly billing data and estimates, helping facilitate change orders and RFI (request for information) to and from customers, coordinating and scheduling shop drawings and submittals, maintaining a record of submittal/approval/resubmittal dates including an accurate record of project transmittals, and helping maintain schedule to meet project deadlines.
