Responsible for all application development projects, maintenance of existing applications, and leading the App Dev team. The App Dev team supports 4 different companies with various environments and requirements. Applications are written in either VB.Net or C# using .Net 4.5 or later. Front ends are a mix of ASP.Net web pages, Node.JS, and WordPress. Continuous integration was setup using TFS and migrated to Azure DevOps. Application servers were migrated to Microsoft Server 2016. Two major applications are in the process of being rewritten from scratch to update their nearly 10-year-old code base. The primary focus of the team was to maintain and optimize existing applications and processes until the environment was stable enough to begin enhancements and rewrites of critical systems.

Primary responsibilities include maintaining and upgrading business critical applications and managing a team of 3 developers. Designed and implemented an improved continuous integration process allowing multiple release channels to be available simultaneously. Modified application structure to allow for asynchronous operation and unit testing. Worked with team members to refresh the standards used by developers in applications and adopt a more RESTful approach to web services. Implemented application monitoring and health checks to better understand how our applications are operating during critical incidents and throughout the day. Partnered with the Change Approval Board to streamline repetitive change processes, allowing for fewer distractions to developers.
