As a Cyber Defense Operations professional, I work to maintain the security of network systems supporting Boeing KC135 Stratotanker aircraft, which provides in-air refueling for fighter jets, bombers, and cargo aircraft among others. By integrating best practices in cybersecurity, I manage vulnerability assessments, identify potential issues, and work with cross-functional teams to initiate targeted responses. I am also involved in researching emerging threats and working with ANG/USAF staff to align cybersecurity strategies with a continuously evolving threat-landscape spanning domestic groups, international governments, and other malicious entities. With a Top Secret security clearance, I have been integral in implementing cybersecurity schedules, managing checklists for ongoing tasks, and performing patches, fixes, updates, and other maintenance items within protected systems. I work with both onsite staff and Air Force teams to roll out new protocols, establish best practices, and maintain full compliance with all United States Department of Defense CFRs, STIGs, and reporting procedures. This acute attention to detail has helped us mitigate potential risks and maintain exemplary safety for personnel, civilians, and multimillion-dollar government assets.

As a Network Technician at GRIID, my focus spanned a broad range of networking activities but maintained a strong emphasis on managing networking hardware/infrastructure configuration and optimization for a growing company specializing in Bitcoin mining products. A key achievement during this time, was acting as Project Manager for a crucial network transition, where we successfully migrated from Cisco to Fortinet hardware. This pivotal change helped us streamline our processes, led to measurable reductions in operating expenses, and positively impacted the overall reliability of our network infrastructure.A significant portion of my role was managing installation for over $500K in new networking equipment while also overseeing the setup/configuration of more than 900 switches as well as numerous access points, routers, and other critical network components. My attention to detail and ability to research optimal configurations for each piece of equipment, allowed me to achieve outstanding functionality and reduce potential downtime during transitions. While managing these installations, I was also tasked with coordinating wiring processes for fiber and various types of ethernet cables within datacenter and high-volume computing environments. Because many network security tasks fell under my area of responsibility, I led installation and calibration of our firewall systems while implementing redundancies to establish seamless backup systems designed to prevent outages for our network systems. I proactively managed network patches, updates, and firmware changes while integrating backup schedules and industry best practices to maintain outstanding security and uptime metrics.

My role as an Operations Technician was focused on supporting a wide range of IT networking systems and working with various IT staff to implement projects. I was integrally involved in installing, configuring, and optimizing networking hardware to align systems with business needs while continuously revising systems to integrate cybersecurity best practices, mitigate risks, and increase uptime metrics.
