With 30 years experience in communications, public affairs, and investor relations, I am the founder and CEO of TALA, a leading PR and communications consultancy that helps clients build and protect their reputations.The focus is on advising organisations across sectors on how to handle complex and sensitive communications challenges, from crisis management to stakeholder engagement, with creativity and impact. In August 2023, we welcomed Twelve PR's clients and team to the TALA family and in September 2024, we grew further with the wonderful team at Elan PR joining our ranks.In line with our ethos and vision for the development of our business, October 2024 saw us transfer the shares of the business into an Employee Ownership Trust. Our goal is to continue building a sustainable business, loved by our clients, and run by, and for the benefit of, those that work within it. It's been hugely rewarding to chair the PR & Communications Apprentice Trailblazer Group, which is updating the entry-level apprenticeship standard for the industry. I am a member of the PRCA and a Disability Confident Employer.In 2023 I became a trustee of GUL Outdoor Therapy, a national charity provided equine assisted therapy to young people, Armed Forces veterans, and others who require mental health support. In 2024, I was invited to become a Trustee of the Fatherhood Institute, an organisation dedicated to researching and promoting the role of men in families.In April 2024, a group drawn from across the media launched a campaign called On the Record. It is a vision to create a memorial to journalists who have been killed in conflict. The campaign has partnered with Press Gazette and we have established a steering group comprising senior figures from across the media landscape. Recent weeks have seen us discussing our incorporation with the Charity Commission.
