Priscilla Borges is a chemical engineer and project manager who is passionate about applying her skills and knowledge to the accounting field. She is currently working as an Administrative Assistant, Specialty Tax in Cross Border Personal Tax Services at Doane Grant Thornton Canada.Priscilla has a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University Center of the Mauá Institute of Technology in Brazil, where she also completed a minor program in Business Management. She has furthered her education with specialization courses in accounting, finances, engineering economics, and supply chain management at the University of Sao Paulo and the University of Toronto. She also holds a Project Management Post Graduate Diploma from Cambrian College, where she was named to the President’s Honour Roll for her academic excellence.Priscilla has diverse and valuable work experience in different sectors and roles. She completed a paid internship at Givaudan, a leading company in the creation of fine fragrances, where she learned about the production process and quality control. She also worked as an Administrative Assistant at Carry Telecom, where she handled customer service, billing, and data entry. She was promoted to the Administrative Assistant of the Vice President at RLG, where she supported the executive team with administrative tasks, project coordination, and budget management. She transitioned to the Accounts Payable Specialist role in Feb 2023, where she is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining records. Nowadays, working with Doane GT assisting the CBPT department. Priscilla has strong skills in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and attention to detail. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and French. She is proficient in Microsoft Office, Business Central, and SAP. She is always eager to learn new skills and tools, and to take on new challenges and opportunities. She is motivated by her interest in accounting and business, and by her goal of becoming a certified professional accountant in the future.
