• Prepare, develop, and conduct workshops, orientations, and other presentations. Assist in the coordination of training programs. • Provide academic support, STEM curriculum, mentoring opportunities, and college preparation seminars to over 800 students in middle and high school. • Coordinate outreach and exposure events with the San Diego MESA Alliance (SDMA) team which is composed of four MESA Centers: Southwestern College, San Diego City College, San Diego State University, and Imperial Valley MESA Schools Program (MSP). • Train our advisors (teachers) and undergraduate assistants on STEM curriculum, MESA competition rules, and STEM hands-on projects. • Facilitate mid-year reports, progress reports, and grant proposals. • Research for STEM resources to implement in class, after-school, and event settings. • Knowledgeable in SDSURF Accounts Payable and Procurement Card policies and procedures.• Implement/Provide the MESA program in twelve middle schools and twelve high schools in the San Diego area.

• Work with SDSU Research Administration Manager to link research activities with grant awards • Facilitate grant proposals and progress reports • Establish deadlines to meet sponsors, National Science Foundation (NSF) and University of Washington (UW) due dates • Coordinate events and meetings for the Center including weekly/monthly meetings, research symposia, and annual meetings of investigators and sponsors.• Support faculty with travel engagements associated with center activities. • Coordinate education and outreach activities with CSNE partners at UW and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and San Diego MESA Alliance.

• Work alongside Life Coach and provide support to thier clients. • Create and implement different daily hands-on activities for clients. • Provide companionship and support daily activities. • Behavior observation and support. • Assist with the delivery of activities to enhance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.

• Provide, support, and encouraged a group of students (5-10 students) taking English and/or Math intervention courses to do well and increase their academic achievement. • Attend intervention and regular English or Math class to better assist the student in coursework and preparation for quizzes, midterms, and finals. • Conduct weekly, quarter, and semester evaluations to showcase students’ progress and focus on areas that need improvement. • Work alongside teachers to provide the best support and study skills needed. • Advice and share college preparation and experience with middle and high school students to encourage them to obtain a post-secondary education.
