Project Officer: RTI INTERNATIONAL AND WERK, TAYARI ECD PROGRAM, OCT 2015 TO CURRENT• Supported curriculum development and implementation through training and supporting teachers in their classrooms. • Provided support to other team members to achieve targets for school improvement.• Provided technical leadership for establishment of educational monitoring and evaluation systems for Tayari Program.• Conducted regular field joint monitoring and periodic reviews with government counterparts and other educational partners.• Provided technical assistance to county counterparts in the implementation of activities to improve quality education in Apbet schools• Led smooth implementation of technical efforts and field activities by providing administrative, operational, and logistical support as required.• Worked closely with City Manager and the project Senior Leadership Team to support the day-to-day operations and administrative management of the technical project activities.• Manage the technical project result areas, work plan implementation, and scheduled technical reporting through regular interaction with the technical team as required by the City manager.• Continuously measure, document, reflect upon, and adjust professional learning opportunities.• Held a key role in the development of project tools and resources to support teachers’ leadership and delivery of content in line with Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development.• Held educative sessions with parents, schools board and management team on the basics of education and early childhood development.• Facilitated teacher work groups to encourage learning, work analysis, observation, and practice refinement• Shared project feedback to teachers and stakeholders at school sites to support effective teaching in education and early childhood development centres and supported the literacy and numeracy skills in children.
