As an Underwriter at The American Equity Underwriters, Inc. (AEU), I provide workers' compensation coverage for new and established companies in the marine industry. I have a Microsoft Office Specialist Master Certification (MOS) and a Property and Casualty Insurance License from the State of Alabama.I joined AEU in 2020 and since then, I have helped find creative underwriting solutions to fit the needs of various marine employers, such as shipbuilders, ship repairers, marine terminal operators, stevedores, marine contractors, and other waterfront businesses. I work with a team of longshore insurance experts who are keenly aware of the challenges and exposures faced by our members. We partner with them to ensure their safety and success, and offer them value-added services, such as online education, longshore consulting, and leadership training. We also resolve claims quickly and efficiently, resulting in reduced loss ratios and more competitive rates for our members. I am proud to be part of the largest provider of USL&H coverage by member count, with a 97.8% member retention rate.
