Air Force Wives Welfare Association is the core welfare organization for the ladies of the Air Force. AFWWA aids the families of deceased, disabled, retired and serving personnel of the Indian Air Force. I was in charge of driving the AFWWA’s key venture, The Thrift shop. The profits earned from the shop were channelized into the various welfare activities that encompassed the areas of education and vocational training for women, conducting medical awareness camps, contributing to senior citizen homes and orphanages. Key Responsibilities • Procuring innovative mix of products representing different regions of India. • Ensuring that the shop offered a range of products to suit the seasonal requirements of the customers. • Developing vendors, negotiating and finalizing rates, and ensuring increase in sales volume. • Inventory management. • Handling staff and customer grievances and complaints.
