I graduated from BONSECOURS COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, THANJAVUR, affiliated to Bharathidasan University - Tiruchirappalli, with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW). My academic experience involved practical fieldwork, participation in camps, and conducting a thesis, all aimed at creating a better environment for the community.As a social work trainee, I successfully completed my concurrent field visit at Social Health and Education Development (SHED INDIA) in Thanjavur. During this period, I gained valuable hands-on experience and practical skills in the field of social work.Organised a residential rural camp, conference, and cultural meet at Bon Secours College with the guidance of faculty members. Additionally, conducted a medical camp in Thirumalaisamudram, Thanjavur, providing essential healthcare services to the community..Done a mini thesis on Socio - economic problems faced by Transgender in Vadakuvasal Thanjavur District.I visited slum areas in Trichy and coastal areas in Nagapattinam to understand the lifestyle and socio-economic conditions of the residents. During a 12-day training program, I became certified as an "AAPDA MITRA" volunteer under government schemes aimed at reducing disaster risks. With guidance from District Disaster Management Authority in Thanjavur, I am now equipped to assist in disaster preparedness and response efforts as a certified AAPDA MITRA volunteer. I distinguished myself as an undergraduate in Social Work at Bharathidasan University, achieving the prestigious 4th rank and earning a gold medal for my outstanding performance. Currently, I am furthering my education by pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, located in Coimbatore. This esteemed institution operates autonomously and is affiliated with Bharathiyar University..During my tenure as a social work trainee, I engaged in concurrent fieldwork within CSR projects at Propel Industries Private Limited in Coimbatore. My volunteer activities are included organizing an awareness campaign for World Alzheimer's Day in collaboration with Life Ray Foundation, as well as actively participating in medical camps at Chinnathadagam and Ravathur, organized respectively by Life Ray Foundation and Propel Industries Private Limited in association with Make A Change Public Charitable Trust (MAC).
